Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Who is responsible

The controller of the data processing described here is:

KRUDA Media Production (sole proprietorship)
Avenue des Alpes 84, 1820 Montreux, Switzerland
Email: hello@krudamedia.ch

We have not appointed a data protection officer. For any question about your data, write to the email above.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the website krudamedia.ch. It explains what personal data we process when you visit the site or contact us, why, and what rights you have. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, revised version in force since 1 September 2023). For visitors in the EU/EEA we also respect the GDPR where it applies.

3. Data we process and why

a) Visiting the website. When you open the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, date and time, pages requested, browser and device type, and referring page. We use this to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors.

b) Contact and quote form. If you send us a message or quote request, we process the data you enter: name, email address, phone number (if given), subject, and the content of your message, including any organisation or project details you choose to provide. We use it only to answer you, prepare a quote and manage the resulting business relationship.

c) Email. If you write to hello@krudamedia.ch, we process your email address, your message and any attachments to handle your request.

d) Spam protection. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA reads technical data such as IP address, browser data and interaction patterns to tell humans from bots. It is provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited and may transfer data to the USA. Google's own policy applies: Google Privacy Policy

e) Cookies and similar technologies. We use a cookie-consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent. Other cookies (for example statistics) are only set if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie Preferences control at the bottom of every page, or in your browser.

f) Website statistics. We use Squarespace Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate region, device type). Statistics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. We use the reports to understand overall site usage, and do not send the content of enquiry messages as analytics events. Squarespace may process this data in the USA.

g) Videos and external links. Videos on this site are hosted through Squarespace or embedded from YouTube (Google). Loading or playing an embedded video connects your browser to that provider and may transmit your IP address, browser details and viewing interactions. The provider's own privacy policy also applies. Our displayed Google review texts are held on this website; following a Google review link takes you to Google's service. YouTube and Google privacy information: Google Privacy Policy.

4. Legal basis

Under the FADP, processing is lawful when it follows the principles of the Act (good faith, proportionality, transparency). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • performance of a contract or steps before a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for quotes and projects;
  • our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in running a secure, working website and answering enquiries;
  • your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies; you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Service providers and recipients

We share data only with providers needed to run the site and our business:

  • Squarespace, Inc. (website hosting, form handling and analytics), USA / Ireland.
  • Microsoft (email and office services for our krudamedia.ch addresses).
  • Google (reCAPTCHA and embedded YouTube videos; Google services also apply when you follow our review links).

These providers act on our instructions or under their own terms. We do not sell personal data.

6. Transfers abroad

Some providers are located in or process data in countries without a Swiss/EU-level data protection law, notably the USA. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision (for example the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or on standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep data

  • Form and email enquiries: as long as needed to handle the request, and for clients for as long as the business relationship and legal retention duties require (generally up to 10 years for accounting records under Swiss law). Enquiries that lead to nothing are deleted after 12 months.
  • Server and technical logs: kept by the hosting provider for a short period according to its policy.
  • Cookie lifetimes vary by type. See the Squarespace cookie list for its cookie durations. You can remove stored cookies in your browser.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Write to hello@krudamedia.ch. We may ask you to identify yourself. We answer within 30 days.

You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), FDPIC, or, if you are in the EU/EEA, to your local data protection authority.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encrypted connections, access limited to the owner and necessary staff). No transmission over the internet is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The version on this page with its date is the current one.
